With Shiloh starting “preschool” this month, and the new baby coming in November, we decided that this summer was the perfect time to transition her into her new room/toddler bed and out of her crib. We realized that there were a lot of transitions coming up for her, so we tried to be as intentional as we could to space them out. Read more
That’s what I look for whenever I buy a pair of shoes. Gone are the years where I torment my feet by wearing shoes that leave me with blisters, or that pull off as soon as I walk through the door. When I was in high school, I would wear pointed stilettos about once a week to school just for the fun of it. Let me tell you, they were not comfortable, and I’m pretty sure I have permanent foot damage now because of it. The stupid things we do for fashion. Read more
Pregnancy is a hard and confusing thing. Our bodies are changing daily, we are exhausted even if we do get a good night sleep, and for so many women, there are countless days, especially at the beginning, full of sickness and fatigue.
Now, throw a toddler on top of that and it just amplifies the hardest parts. The other day I was helping Shiloh get ready for the day. She picked out her dress, and we chose a matching bow. I went to set her feet on the ground, and told her to go show daddy her outfit for the day, like we do almost daily. She instantly pulled her feet up, making it impossible to set her down, and started crying. Read more
